The Chinese Calendar,
a
Brief History

In 2637 B.C., a Chinese Emperor named Huangdi invented the Chinese Calendar.

The Lunar Calendar is steeped in tradition, based on the appearance of the new moon, the calendar associates a different animal with each year in the 12-year cycle.

Those who follow the Chinese Calendar believe each animal has a profound influence a person's characteristics to those born under the year of its rule.

2018 - Year of the Dog

The birth years for people ruled by the Chinese Lunar dog include 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006 and 2018.

Those born under the influence of this sign are said to be loyal,
amiable, kind and friendly.   (The Perth Mint)
