The Chinese Calendar,
a
Brief History

In 2637 B.C., a Chinese Emperor named Huangdi invented the Chinese Calendar.

The Lunar Calendar is steeped in tradition, it is based on the appearance of the new moon, the calendar associates a different animal with each year, in a 12 year cycle.

Those who follow the Chinese Calendar believe each animal has a profound influence on the personality of those born under the year of its rule.

2008 - Year of the Mouse

According to the Chinese Calendar, individuals who were born under the Year of the Mouse are quick witted, confident and good mannered.

Those born under this sign also make good and wise advisers.

The Chinese calendar is categorized by a whole year, resetting in 12-year intervals, those born in these years; 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996 and 2008 share the Mouse  characteristics.
