Kookaburra Bullion Coin

In 1992, The Australian Perth Mint added three more silver bullion coins to the Australian Silver Kookaburra coin series.

The 2oz., 10oz. and the 1 kilo coins were added to the successful Australian Silver Kookaburra bullion coin series.

Design

Obverse

The obverse side of the Australian Silver Kookaburra displays the profile of Queen Elizabeth II struck in proof-like quality.

The profile of Queen Elizabeth II was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

The Queen's name "ELIZABETH II" and "AUSTRALIA" are inscribed along the upper perimeter of the silver bullion coin, encircling the Queen's profile.

The 10 oz. Silver Kookaburra's Face Value is "10 DOLLAR" which is inscribed along the bottom of the investment silver bullion coin.

Reverse

The reverse side of the Silver Kookaburra bullion coin unveils a new design of the Kookaburra each year.

The coin's name, "AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA" is inscribed along the top of the Silver Kookaburra coin.

Inscribed along the bottom of the bullion coin is its Year of Issue, weight of "10oz" and the purity of the coin "999 SILVER."

The edge on the silver coin is Reeded.

Located to the far right of the Kookaburra's (narrated in the first person point of view) is the Mint Mark of "P" representing the Perth Mint.

Note: From 1990 - 2007 the Silver Kookaburra bullion coin did not have a Mint Mark.
