When you compare the 2017 Silver Krugerrand Premium Uncirculated Coin with the 2018 Silver Krugerrand Bullion Coin, you can see the subtle differences.
The first difference is the mirror, proof-like surfaces of Paul Kruger and the Springbok Antelope on the Premium Coin, the other being the lack of the Privy Mark on the 2018 bullion coin.

Obverse
The obverse side of the South African Silver Krugerrand displays the portrait of Paul Kruger.
"SUID~AFRIKA" is inscribed along the inner perimeter of the silver bullion coin.
The language is Afrikaans, the native language of South Africa.
In addition, the English pronunciation "SOUTH AFRICA" is also inscribed on obverse side of the silver coin.
Reverse
The Reverse side of the Silver Krugerrand features the Springbok Antelope, one of the national symbols of South Africa.
Coert Steynberg who was a renowned South African sculptor, and medallist, who worked in stone, marble, bronze, copper and wood, designed the reverse side of the coin.
His initials "CLS" can be found directly above the word "SILVER" under the antelope.
"KRUGERRAND" is inscribed along the top of the coin.
The year of issue is shown broken in half and displayed on both sides of the Springbok.
Inscribed at the bottom are the words "FYNSILWER 1OZ FINE SILVER" representing the Silver Krugerrand's weight and purity, in both the Afrikaans and English languages.
In addition, unlike the Gold Krugerrand, the Silver Krugerrand displays its Face Value of "R1" representing "1 Rand" on its reverse side.
The Gold Krugerrand is the World's most circulated gold bullion coin.
The bullion coin gets its name from the popular four-term President of the old Republic of South Africa, Paul Kruger 1883 - 1900 (pictured), and the Rand, the South African currency.
In 1966, the South African Reserve Bank, gave authorization to the Rand Refinery Ltd. to manufacture gold blanks and the South African Mint to strike the blanks into Krugerrand gold bullion coins.
The first coins were minted in 1967.
For the first 3 years of production, the South African Mint only minted 40,000 of the Gold Krugerrand each year, they didn't start to mass produce the Krugerrand in until 1970.
In the 1970's and 1980's, South Africa's policy of apartheid brought along economic sanctions against the country which made the Krugerrand an illegal import in many Western countries.
In 1994, South Africa abandoned apartheid, shortly after the sanctions were lifted, the Krugerrand regained its status as one of the world's leading gold bullion coin.
