The Australian Gold and Silver Lunar bullion coins are a staple in the physical precious metals investor or collector's portfolio.
Now the Perth Mint has added a new coin to the Lunar bullion coin series.
2020 marks The Perth Mint's first .9995 fine Australian 1-oz. Lunar Platinum Bullion Coin.

Series III - Obverse
The obverse side of every modern Australian coin has the profile of Queen Elizabeth the II.
In the design, the Queen is wearing the Royal Diadem crown, earrings, and the Victorian coronation necklace.
The design was created by Jody Clark, his initial's "JC" are inscribed on the Queen's shoulder.
The Queen's name "ELIZABETH II" and "AUSTRALIA" are inscribed along the top of the bullion coin.
Along the bottom of the platinum coin is the coin's weight "1OZ" (troy) and purity "9995 Pt"
The coin's face value of "100 DOLLAR" is also displayed along the bottom of the platinum bullion coin.

Series III - Reverse
The 2020 Series III, Australian Lunar Platinum bullion coin displays the first animal in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, the Mouse.
The design portrays two mice standing on a corn husk, while eating from another one.
The Chinese Symbol inscribed the coin's field is the symbol that represents the lunar calendar animal.
In addition, inscribed under the Chinese Symbol is the name of the Lunar animal and the coin's Year of Issue - "MOUSE 2020."
The "P' on the field of the platinum bullion coin represents the 'Mint Mark' of the Perth Mint.
The reverse side's designer is Ing Jong her initials "IJ" can be found behind the upper back paw of the top mouse, near the rim of the coin.
All Australian Lunar bullion coins have Reeded Edges.
