Obverse
The Great Organ of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, is the centerpiece of this side of the Austrian Philharmonic Gold Bullion coin.
Across the top of the coin is "REPUBLIK OSTERREICH" (Republic of Austria).
Below the Great Organ, is the gold bullion coins, Weight of "1/10 UNZE," Purity "GOLD 999.9" and its year of issue.
The face value of "10 EURO" is located at the bottom of the gold coin.
Reverse
The design of the gold coin's reverse side is a combination of musical instruments that make up the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
The text "WIENER PHILHARMONIKER" ("Vienna Philharmonic"), is displayed across the top of the gold coin.
The Instruments are comprised of a string bass, surrounded by cellos and violins, in front of a bassoon, a harp, and a Viennese horn.
Before joining the European Union in 2001, the Philharmonic gold bullion coins were valued in schillings. From 2002 to the present day, the bullion coin has been valued in euros (€).
The Edge on the one-tenth oz. Gold Philharmonic bullion coin is unique to most of the other bullion coins on the market.
Most bullion coins have a reeded edge, but all of the Austrian Vienna Gold Philharmonic Bullion Coins have a grained edge.
In addition, the edge of the Silver Philharmonic bullion coin is plain or smooth, and the Platinum Philharmonic has a reeded edge.
