In 1999, The Perth Mint introduced the Australian Lunar Silver Bullion Coin Series, which has since become one of the most popular modern investment coin series in the world.
Series I : Obverse
The obverse side of the Series I, one kilogram, Australian Lunar Silver bullion coin displays the profile of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Series I : Reverse
The reverse of the 1 kilo. Australian Lunar Silver bullion coin displays an image of the Lunar Animal associated with each Chinese Lunar Calendar year.

Series II : Obverse
Like the Series I, bullion coin, the centerpiece on the obverse side of the Series II Australian Lunar Silver bullion coin is Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Note: 2018 is the first year the Silver Lunar Bullion Coins have the purity of .9999 silver.

Series II : Reverse
The reverse of the 2019 Series II Australian Lunar Silver Bullion coin displays a mother pig surrounded by her piglets in the grass with foliage above them, designed by Aleysha Howarth.

Series III : Obverse
The effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the centerpiece of the obverse side of all Australian bullion coins, designed by Jody Clark.
In the design, the Queen is wearing the Royal Diadem crown, earrings, and the Victorian coronation necklace.

Series III : Reverse
The reverse of the 2024 Series III Australian Lunar Silver bullion coin displays Chinese mythical dragon with stylized waves and fog, designed by Ing Ing Jong.

Note: The micro-engraved "letter" is designed to make the bullion coin more difficult to counterfeit.
