In 2000, four years after The Perth Mint started to mint the Australian Lunar Gold Bullion Series of Coins, the mint added 3 more gold bullion coins to their popular bullion series.
That year, they introduced the 2 oz., 10 oz., and 1 kilo. Gold bullion coins, for investors.
Note: The 1 kilo. Australian Gold Lunar coin was not continued in the 2020 Gold Lunar Series III bullion coin.

Series I : Obverse
The obverse side on all modern Australian Bullion Coins display the profile of her Queen Elizabeth II.
"ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA" is displayed inside the outer perimeter of the gold bullion coin.
"ELIZABETH II", "AUSTRALIA" is displayed inside the outer perimeter of the gold bullion coin.
Displayed at the bottom of the 1-kilogram gold coin is its legal tender Face Value of "3000 DOLLARS"
The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II was designed by Ian-Rank Broadley, his initials "IRB" are inscribed directly below the Queen's neck.
The Lunar Series coins are minted as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act of 1965, this makes the gold bullion coin guaranteed by the Government of Australia.
Series I : Reverse
The reverse of the Australian Lunar Gold bullion coin displays an image of the lunar animal associated with each Chinese Lunar Calendar year.
The Chinese Symbol found behind the Lunar Calendar Animal is the symbol representation for the animal.
Displayed below the Lunar Animal is the gold bullion coin's weight "1 KILO" and purity of "9999 GOLD."
The 'Year of Issue' is located on this side of the Series I, Gold Lunar Bullion Coin.

Series II : Obverse
The center piece of the obverse side on all Australian bullion coins is the profile of Queen Elizabeth the II.
The design of the Queen on the Australian Lunar Gold bullion coin was created by Ian Rank-Broadley, his initial's "IRB" are inscribed directly below the Queen's neck.
The Queen's name "ELIZABETH II" and "AUSTRALIA" are inscribed along the top half of the gold bullion coin.
Along the bottom of the gold coin is the coin's weight of "1KG" and purity of "9999 GOLD."
The coin's Year of Issue and Face Value of "3000 DOLLARS" is also displayed along the bottom half of the Series II gold lunar coin.

Series II : Reverse
The centerpiece of the 2019 Gold Lunar bullion coin's reverse side is of a Dappled Pig, standing in the outback, with a branch of flowers above it.
Inscribed above the Lunar Pig is the Chinese symbol that represents the lunar calendar animal.
Along the bottom of the gold bullion coin are the words "Year of the Pig."
The Edge on both of the Series I & II gold coins is Reeded.
The "P" inscribed on the bullion coin is the 'Mint Mark' for The Perth Mint.
