In 2006, the Perth Mint added the 10-kilo Australian Lunar Gold bullion coin to their popular bullion series.
Until the Perth Mint minted the first one-ton gold bullion coin in October 2011, the 10-kilo lunar gold bullion coin was the largest gold coin the Perth Mint had ever produced for investors.

The obverse side of the 10 kilo. Australian Lunar Gold bullion coin displays the profile of Queen Elizabeth II by designer Ian Rank-Broadley.

The Government of Australia guarantees all Lunar Series gold bullion coins, which are legal tender under the Australian Currency Act of 1965.
